School Tour

                              Pine Forest
Yesterday we went on our school tour to Pine Forest Art Centre in Co. Wicklow. It was a day filled with sunshine and crafts. When we got there we went on a hike through the forest. After a short break we were shown which sheds we would be working in. We made pencil topper dragons, symmetrical butterflies and clay birds. We loved being in such tranquil and beautiful surroundings. A great day was had by all.

Letters from Cavan

In May we learned about letter writing in literacy. We each wrote a letter to a pen pal from a school in Gowna, Co.Cavan. Firstly we wrote our first draft into our copies, then we edited them and finally wrote them onto our letter template to send in the post. We addressed the envelopes and decorated them to our liking.
We were very excited to see John Kelly come in last week with a special delivery for our class. Our pen pals wrote back to us!

Sketching and sports day

We made the most of the good weather over the last few weeks. We had so much fun on sports day. Well done to everyone who took part.
Last Friday we went outside to sketch the convent. We looked at architecture and skylines on the interactive white board before we went outside to observe and draw. We incorporated light and shading to our sketches.
